Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia – An unplanned trip that turned out just perfect


I loved everything about Malaysia. From the friendliness of the locals, to the diversity of the people, to cheap food (emphasis on Cheap), to indoor theme parks, to a good and reliable transport system, to hiking trails, to affordability of quality accommodation, to safety! What’s there not to like?

Our trip to Malaysia was a last minute thing so I didn’t quite get to plan for it in detail. Lovemore’s birthday was in a few days and I had a headache from thinking (or failing to) of what to get him as a present. I finally decided on a trip, seeing that travelling is a passion we share. So I looked for countries we didn’t need visas to go to (Singapore & Malaysia looked good enough), the cheapest flight (Ethiopian airways), spent the whole night on Bookings.com reading reviews and deciding on hotels, then 2 days later we were good to go.
